    Description

Antique 1910s Rhinestone Fishson Silverite buckle (for
    shoe or sash?)
Made by Henry Fishel & Son Jewelers in New York City, USA
This glittering buckle contains 87 rhinestones (1 larger stone in the center, 8 medium stones in a floral pattern surrounding the center, and 78 smaller stones filling out the rest of the piece).
    Dimensions about 1.5" long x 1.0" wide x 0.5" deep.
Silverite was a trademarked alloy that was marketed by Fishel in the 1910s.
Set with rhinestones, it was an affordable alternative to platinum and diamonds.
