A true theremin has both loop antenna and rod antenna.
This Theremin mounts on a mic stand (mic stand not included). You can also remove the mic stand mount and use it on a desk top. It has a loop antenna to control volume and a vertical antenna to control pitch. It comes with a U. S. standard power supply (UL approved) which plugs in the wall. All you need is a guitar amp or some kind of audio amp to plug into its 1/4 inch jack and a cable to connect the two. It has great sound with good range and very effective control of volume with your left hand over the volume antenna.  Pitch range is easily set for a comfortable 2.5 feet (arm's length), and can be adjusted.
