This is an affordable commemorative postcard of a baseball great with brief biographical information penned by nationally renowned author and sports commentator Bert Randolph Sugar. Each of these great cards pictures the game when it was still young, the T206 Wagner was scarcely known to exist, and Base Ball (two words) was America's National Pastime. Issued in 1978 by Dover Publications, at nearly three decades old, it is becoming a vintage collectible in its own right!
TYPE 3:
This card has been observed in three types, as follows:
Type 1: No box for stamp (upper right), no lines in address portion
Type 2: No box for stamp (upper right) with lines in address portion
Type 3: Both box for stamp (upper right) and lines in address portion
Note: The reverse side of the card offered in this listing is in
