Description
It's May 30, 1956, and a 24-year-old Mantle is about to propel himself into the national spotlight forever. In the stadium's 33 years no one has hit a ball fair out of Yankee Stadium. Pedro Ramos is the Senator's pitcher. All eyes lock in on the white sphere as it rockets to the facade atop the upper deck in right field. As fate would have it, the shot comes up some 18 inches short. At season's end Mickey is a Triple Crown Winner, the first since Boston's Ted Williams in 1947. Batting (.353), Home Runs (52) and RBIs (130).This lithograph has never been framed nor been removed from its mailing tube since 1996. Delivery will be rolled up in a mailing tube
