This is a fantastic rare WWI veteran Mameluke sword. It was made by BB&B Bailey Bank & Biddle and marked so on the ricassio/blade. Named on the blade, William CJ Flynn. He enlisted in 1899 and last record is in the reserves in 1938. He served in many camapigns throughout the carribean, philippines, Cuba, etc. It has his name etched on the blade which is William CJ FLynn. The handle sadly has chips missing to both sides. Scabbard is nice, dent free, the original sword knot, or whats left of it is on the end. These old marine swords dont come up often and when they do, they are usually prices sky high. Guaranteed original.
