This is a WW1 trench/theater dagger purchased at a military show.
The steel blade has been inserted into a brass pipe ....4.5” long. It was then filled with lead.
This makes the handle rather heavy. There is a small brass cap as seen in picture......#5.
It appears that the carbon steel blade was brushed at one time in the past.
The knife comes with a very well worn leather sheath.

CONDITION:
Knife...This knife is over 100 years old.
It has been used...carried...sharpened...has extensive discoloration ...dents...dings....and pitting.
However, it remains very solid due to its construction techniques....using lead to join all the parts. The original maker built a very solid piercing weapon.
