WWI Era AEF US Army M1917 Bayonet & WWII Vintage M1917 Scabbard - Marked Remington 1917 - for the M1917 Enfield Rifle & US Trench or Riot Shotguns - NICE Condition - Original
Up for sale is a WWI Era AEF US Army M1917 Bayonet & WWII Vintage M1917 Scabbard.  This is an Original Bayonet & Scabbard.  This scabbard is the M1917 Leather body scabbard.  The bayonet is marked Remington in a circle and dated 1917, it has the Flaming Bomb Proofs and a US Stamp on the rear.  The blade still has the two-toned finish, with minor wear.  The wooden handles are in very nice condition.  The blade has no rust, no nicks or chips.  Some minor surface pitting at the tip, see photo.  No evidence of excessive sharpening.  It has the original US M1917 Leather Body scabbard.  The scabbard is marked: GF in an oval on the metal tip and throat.  The bayonet is used, please see photo's for condition.  Hard to find them in this condition.
This bayonet will fit the US M1917 Enfield Rifle and all US Trench or Riot Shotguns (from WWI through Korea).
